Yo FitFam!
I have a pretty serious confession to make to you and I want to be frank about it..
I love coffee. Dark. Black. Hot coffee. I love it in the A.M or P.M.
Literally- I sometimes drink a cup around 9:00 P.M and will have no problem sleeping like a baby shortly after. I'm sure some of you can relate when I say that coffee does for me exactly what I want it to. I'm in control of coffee, right?
Lets say for proper influence purposes that I actually am in control of my coffee addiction.
Check this out-68 million Americans drink at least 3 cups of coffee every single day. There must be something pretty amazing going on in this delicious steamy brew. Consuming a small amount of coffee before a workout can cause fat cells to be used as an energy source as opposed to glycogen (storage of glucose). Also, the high amounts of caffeine in black coffee will increase your metabolism, which makes you burn more calories throughout the day.
But let us practice moderation, shall we?
For healthy adults with no medical issues, it is generally agreed upon that
300mg - 400mg of caffeine can be consumed daily without any adverse effects.

Let's make this clear. --->
That's 5 1/2 espresso shots! I would be bouncing off the walls and ya'll would be doing way more burpees!
The point is, everything is great if practicing moderation.
This includes all aspects of our lives-not just our coffee and espresso addictions. Having a sense of self discipline can bring you a feeling of self control and is a victory worth celebrating each and every time. Let's start with the "small" scale victories shall we? Let us take a moment during our morning delicious hot javas to pump up our chest and get ready to masquerade around society like we actually have it together. Because we totally do!
Cheers to more life & more coffee. (or tea, OK-there I said it)
